• Program at a Glance
    Students enrolled in Graphic Communications Program learn the printing technology required for producing newspapers, magazines and other publications. Students learn to manage time, multi task and handle the very demanding world of industry. The curriculum concentrates on the technology of the printing process. Units of study include bindery, sign plotting, and sign making.

    What You Will Learn
    Students will learn basic drawing principles, by utilizing industry standard design programs like Adobe Creative Suite. All students have access to the internet, printers and scanners to enable them to design movie posters, print advertisements, business cards, logos, brochures, and more. Students learn the techniques for professional sign design through a full range of professional-level projects which include community signage, automotive graphics, and advertisement banners.

    Career Pathways
    Students who complete the Graphic Communications Program may go on to college to obtain degrees in Graphic Design and Communications, Advertising/Marketing, Publication, etc. Some students opt to pursue employment in the field and work as photographers, press operators, sign makers, and independent graphic designers.
