• Program at a Glance
    The Theatre Arts Program prepares students to apply artistic, technical and dramatic principles and techniques to the communication of dramatic information, ideas, moods, and feelings through performance and technical theatre methods.

    What You Will Learn
    Students will learn all facets of theatre production from acting techniques and performance, to set design and painting, lighting, design, sound design and engineering, property management, costume design, technical direction, directing, and playwriting. Course work will include play production, voice and diction, theatre history, improvisation, movement for actors, and acting. Students will learn all elements needed to create a production from start to finish through hands-on training. 

    Career Pathways
    Students in the Theatre Arts program may continue their postsecondary education at a college, university or enter directly into industry.
