NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETINGS
SUSSEX COUNTY TECHNICAL SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF EDUCATION

 

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Sussex County Technical School District Board of Education will hold a Special Meeting on Monday, September 21, 2026 beginning at 4:00pm in the Media Center, located at 105 N. Church Road, Sparta, New Jersey.

 

The purpose of the Special Meeting is to conduct interviews of candidates for the position of Superintendent of Schools and to discuss matters concerning the appointment and employment of a Superintendent.

 

The Board will convene in public session and provide an opportunity for public comment in accordance with law and Board policy. The Board anticipates adopting a resolution pursuant to N.J.S.A. 10:4-12(b)(8) and N.J.S.A. 10:4-13 to enter into executive session to conduct candidate interviews and discuss personnel matters relating to the Superintendent search. 

 

The public will be excluded from the executive-session portion of the meeting. Matters discussed in executive session will be disclosed to the public when the need for confidentiality no longer exists.

 

Following executive session, the Board will reconvene in public session in the Media Center. Formal action may or may not be taken. The Board will not take formal action during executive session.

 

This notice is provided in accordance with the NJ Open Public Meetings Act, N.J.S.A. 10:4-6 et seq.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING
SUSSEX COUNTY TECHNICAL SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF EDUCATION

 

Notice is hereby given that the Sussex County Technical School District Board of Education will hold a Special Meeting on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 3:30pm in the Media Center at Sussex County Technical School District.

 

The purpose of the meeting is for the Board of Education to review and discuss applicants for the position of Chief School Administrator. The Board anticipates entering into executive session pursuant to N.J.S.A. 10:4-12(b)(8) to discuss confidential personnel matters involving prospective employees.

 

The Board will open the meeting in public session before entering executive session. No formal action is anticipated. The Board may reconvene in public session following executive session; however, no additional public business is anticipated.

The regular meeting of the Board of Education of the Vocational School in the County of Sussex previously scheduled for Wednesday, March 25, 2026 has been rescheduled to Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. The agenda will include the approval of the 2026-27 tentative budget and regular business items. The meeting will be held in the media center at Sussex County Technical School, 105 N. Church Road, Sparta, NJ, 07871. Action may be taken and the public is invited to attend.
