Concurrent Program Requirements

​​​Concurrent Program Eligibility 2023-24

INITIAL CRITERIA FOR ACADEMIC & CTE CONCURRENT COURSE ELIGIBILITY

  • STUDENT MUST HAVE CUMULATIVE WEIGHTED GPA OF 3.0 OR HIGHER
  • STUDENT MUST BE IN COLLEGE PREP OR HIGHER-LEVEL COURSES [**FOR ACADEMIC CONCURRENT COURSES ONLY]
  • STUDENTS MUST ATTAIN A PROFICIENT SCORE ON THE RESPECTIVE ACCUPLACER TEST. [++NO TESTING REQUIRED FOR CTE CONCURRENT CREDIT IN CULINARY, THEATRE ARTS, GRAPHICS, COMMERCIAL ARTS, CINEMATOGRAPHY, & LAW & PUBLIC SAFETY)

TO WAIVE ACCUPLACER TEST REQUIREMENTS 

A. For students wanting to take Concurrent Courses for:

  • English Composition I & English Composition II
  • US History II Honors
  • Statistics

1. Students must have 3.7 cumulative weighted GPA or higher
2. Students must be enrolled in English Honors with a mimimum grade of 90% or English CP with mimum grade of 95% at mid year. 

B. Student must satisfy following criteria to be eligible to take Concurrent Courses for: 

  • Statistics

1. Students must have 3.7 cumulative weighted GPA or higher
2. Students must have passed Algebra II CP with a mimum grade of 90% or be currently in Algebra II CP/Honors with a minimum grade of 90% at mid year.


**ACCUPLACER TEST (NEXT GENERATION ADVANCED ALGEBRA TEST) CANNOT BE WAIVED FOR ADVANCED BIOLOGY, PRECALCULUS & CALCULUS STUDENTS**
**ACCUPLACER TEST(NEXT GENERATION ADVANCED ALGEBRA TEST)   CANNOT BE WAIVED FOR ENGINEERING PHYSICS I & II
