Dear Parent/Guardian:

This time of year, may generate some distraction among students particularly as we approach warmer weather. It would be greatly appreciated if you would continue to work with us by encouraging your child(ren) to pay close attention to the below items. As parents and guardians, you want the best for your child(ren) including a positive learning experience. As educators, we share your objectives as a parent. Thank you, in advance, for encouraging your child to attend school regularly, report to all classes and report on time, complete any and all assignments and projects, demonstrate respectful behavior and dress appropriately for school.

Sussex Tech is scheduled for half days from Tuesday, June 13 through Friday, June 16, 2023, coinciding with final examinations. The last day of school is Friday, June 16, 2023.

Special Note to Parents of Seniors:
Senior Awards will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 6pm in the McNeice Auditorium. Graduation rehearsal will be held on Thursday, June 15th and Friday, June 16th. No late arrives on June 15th and June 16th. On Friday, June 16th, seniors will be bussed to the Lafayette House for the Senior Breakfast. Following breakfast, they will have their final graduation practice. Seniors will be dismissed when rehearsals are finished. Seniors are to arrive at 4:30pm for graduation on Friday, June 16th. Graduation is scheduled for Friday, June 16, 2023 at 5pm in McNeice Auditorium. Doors will open at 4:45 pm for family.

Special Note to Parents of Shared Time Students:

Morning shared-time students who attend Sussex Tech in the morning will take their exams Monday, June 12th and Tuesday, June 13th. They will be dismissed at their normal time on Monday, June 12th. On Tuesday, June 13th, morning shared-time will report to Sussex Tech as normal and stay until 12 noon. This is also their last day at Sussex Tech.

Afternoon shared-time students' exams will be on Monday, June 12th. This is also their last day at Sussex Tech.

Underclassmen:
Underclassmen, plans are currently under way for the 2023-2024 school year. Please watch your email over the summer for information regarding next school year.

Attachments: The May and June calendars detailing the above information, are attached. Please take a moment to carefully review and mark your calendars.

As we approach the end of the school year, I want to take this opportunity to thank you and your child(ren) for choosing the Sussex County Technical School. Our school continues to offer students superior academic and CTE programs within a wholesome and productive educational environment. Thanks to your support and the determination and hard work of your child(ren), our school continues to enjoy a reputation for great value for the youth of Sussex County.
