Today marks the start of National Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated from September 15th to October 15th to recognize the contributions of Hispanic Americans to our nation and culture. September 5th marks the independence of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Feliz Mes de la Herencia Hispana!

This week is Fall Spirit Week! Today is pumpkin spice vs. apple spice! Who will you represent? Wednesday is Dynamic Duo Day. Find a friend and dress up as a notorious dynamic duo. Thursday is the day to represent your shop! Wear shop gear or merch representing your trade. Friday is Green and Gold Day! Show off your Mustang pride! Mustang Merch can be purchased in Ms. Re’s room, 501, all week. Stop by to pick out a shirt, sweatshirt, joggers, hat or a new lanyard. Cash or checks are accepted. The pep rally will take place during block 4 on Friday. We can't wait to see everyone's school spirit! For more information about spirit week and the pep rally please check your school email.
2026 Homecoming Tickets are now on sale! You can purchase your tickets online via BookTix. You may also purchase a ticket with cash in Ms. Re's room, 501. This year's homecoming will take place on Saturday, September 19th. The dance will be from 7-10 PM. Students can check-in at 6:30PM. The Fall Harvest Dance will take place outside under the tent by the auditorium. The Sussex Tech Homecoming dance will not permit outside guests. Anyone attending must be a Sussex Tech Student. Nominations for the 2026 Homecoming Court are now open! Everyone in the school will be asked to nominate up to 6 seniors for homecoming royalty. The Nomination Form will close at 10:30 AM today. The top 6 nominated students from the Senior Class will go on to the final voting for Homecoming Royalty. Please check your school email for more information. (9/17)
